Data Deletion Policy

1. Overview

At WhatsApp CRM, we respect your privacy and acknowledge your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy outlines the procedures and timelines for the deletion of personal data in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and Meta Platform Terms.

2. Right to Erasure

Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data. We will delete your data upon:

  • Direct request from the user/business (Data Principal).
  • Withdrawal of consent for data processing.
  • The purpose for which the data was collected being fulfilled.
  • Meta Platform requirements for app removal or user requests.

3. How to Request Data Deletion

You can initiate a data deletion request through the following methods:

Method 1: Account Dashboard

Navigate to Settings > Data Management > Delete Account/Data within your CRM dashboard.

Method 2: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@whatsappcrm.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". Please include your registered business email and WhatsApp Phone Number ID.

4. 48-Hour Notification Period

In compliance with DPDP Rules 2025, upon receiving a valid deletion request or identifying data scheduled for deletion due to inactivity, we will provide you with a 48-hour notice before the final erasure occurs. During this period, you may choose to halt the deletion by logging back into your account or contacting support.

5. Data Retention & Logs

While we delete user-identifiable personal data promptly, we are legally required to maintain processing logs for a minimum period of one year from the date of processing. These logs are used for compliance auditing and do not contain the content of your communications once the primary data has been purged.

6. Meta (Facebook/WhatsApp) Integration

If you wish to delete data that has been synced from Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business), we follow the official Meta Data Deletion Request Callback protocol. Removing our app from your Meta Business Suite will automatically trigger our deletion workflow for the associated business data.
